FEBRUARY MEETING – Our monthly General Meeting was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Clubhouse. Doris Spears presented an excellent program on Holistic Wellness. General business was discussed with reports on our successful Flea Market, the upcoming Bunko Party & Luncheon in March, and the fantastic Creative Cocktails Creative Couture (hosted by the Girlfriends Committee) in April. Paula Rosen, President, reminded members of the GFWC Florida District Arts & Crafts Meeting on March 3rd in Vero Beach and the Spring Convention in April in Orlando. An Installation of New Members was held with orientation following the general meeting. A delicious lunch was served by our Hospitality Committee and the meeting was very informative as well as social.

New Members installed at the Girlfriends Meeting on February 14 include Marion Shertzer and Tee Allman. Installation was conducted by Cathy Kauffmann, Vice President, Membership.

New Members installed at the General Meeting on February 15 include (in alphabetical order) Barbara Assalone; Creggie Henderson; Ann Hernon; Sharon Mason; Helen Salisbury; and Arline Shane. Installation was conducted by Cathy Kauffman, Vice President, Membership. Paula Rosen, President, is also pictured.

MARCH MEETING - Our next general meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Clubhouse. Sandra Thurlow, a local historian, will present our program and lunch will be served by our Hospitality Committee. BUNKO PARTY/LUNCHEON – Our Bunko Party/Luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. The cost of this event will be $18 and will be a fun time for everyone attending. For more information contact Marie Lardiere.

DISTRICT 10 ARTS & CRAFTS COMPETITION – The District 10 Arts & Crafts Competition will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at the Vero Beach Woman’s Club. Our Club will have several entries in this completion and we look forward to viewing the talents of all our Club Members. If you are interested in attending, please contact Paula Rosen.

CREATIVE COCKTAILS CREATIVE COUTURE - Kimberly Perron, Co-Chair of the Girlfriends Committee, would like to remind everyone about the upcoming Creative Cocktails Creative Couture event on April 13, 2012. The theme of this year’s event is Chaneling Coco and is inspired by the wonderful Coco Chanel. Last year’s event was very successful and is expected to be extraordinary again this year. More information will be available in the near future. Please mark your calendars!

GFWC FLORIDA FEDERATION SPRING CONVENTION – The GFWC Florida Federation Spring Convention will be held April 27 through 29th in Orlando. All Club members are invited to attend. Please contact Paula Rosen for more information.
