Location & Directions
2013 is the Woman's Club of Stuart's 100th anniversary. Our club was established by a group of pioneer women who made their mark on Martin County and we work hard to honor their memory.
In 1914 the Woman's Club of Stuart joined the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), one of the largest women's organization in the world.
Our primary purpose is to give scholarships to young women in each of the Martin County High Schools, which we have done since the 1950's. We also work with the House of Hope to provide for families in need.

Monthly we collect food for the Council on the Aging and books, magazines and other necessities for veterans. During the holidays our members buy toys for children in need and the club provides 200 gift bags for the children that Helping People Succeed serve. In addition, we give support to Canine Companions for Independence and Hacienda Girls Ranch plus many other local organizations.
Our fundraising activities and generous members make all this giving possible. In December we host our annual Holiday House Tour, which showcases beautiful homes in Stuart. We offer a luncheon and fashion show on odd numbered years. In the spring our Girlfriends Committee hosts a fabulous event called Creative Cocktails Creative Couture, an evening not to miss! In November of 2011 we will host our first ever Wine Discovery 101. Plus, there are many other smaller events during the year.
And, we have fun! Each month from September to May you will find women playing bridge, bunko and other games. We have a Literary Group and an Antiquarians Club. Many talented members submit their work to be judged in the annual Arts and Crafts Competition. Some of these works go on to compete at local and state levels.
We are active and we welcome other vital, bright, motivated women to join our ranks. Come be a part of history, past, current and future. Make a difference in our community.
Enjoy visiting our website. If you would like to learn more about us, please come to a luncheon meeting. We meet every third Wednesday of the month from September to May. Be our guest at the September, October, November, January, February, March or April meetings. (Our December and May meetings are catered and require a reservation and a fee.) Our meetings consists of lunch, a business meeting and most months, a program with a speaker. Call and leave us a message that you are coming so that I may greet you personally.
