Community Service
The GFWC Woman's Club of Stuart is the oldest continuous woman's organization in Martin County, Florida. We are a member of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs, an international organization of community service clubs. Since 1913, we have been serving Martin County. Here are some of the projects we have done to help our community.

Holiday Home Tour
Our Holiday Home Tour, our largest project, has become a favorite on the Treasure Coast and has allowed us to award over $400,000 in scholarships. During the pandemic, we held a virtual tour and won a statewide creativity award for our ingenuity.
Breast Cancer Walk
Each year, we participate in Making Strides Martin to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. We hope to help eradicate this disease which has afflicted a number of our members.

Food, Friends & Fashion
Our annual fashion show is a hit with our members and our friends. Watch for more details coming soon.
Day of Service
In honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, we helped with a community day of service, refurbishing a home for a young widow with small children.

Little Free Library
Our Little Free Library, located adjacent to our back parking lot, is stuffed with wonderful books. It's also a nod to our history as we started the first library in Martin County.
Treasures from the Closet
We sold lots of beautiful bargains and had fun doing it! The team collected gently used fashions and household items and sold them to raise money for our scholarship fund. It was a wonderful event full of fun, friends, and fashions.

Betty Mae Tiger Jumper Historical Marker
We provided a historical marker dedicated to the life of Betty Mae Tiger Jumper, the first female chief the Florida Seminole tribe. Jumper, dedicated her life to improving health care and literacy in the Seminole community.
