A Message from Our President
To Our Club Members and our Martin County Community,
We are in the throes of a global pandemic, and the medical community is unanimous in predicting that the spread of the coronavirus will get worse before it gets better. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control asks that events involving 50 or more people be canceled or rescheduled in order to slow the spread of this serious disease. Anything we can do to reduce exposure to the disease is imperative. “Social distancing,” avoiding unnecessary contact with others, is advised.
Consequently, the Woman’s Club of Stuart is canceling or rescheduling all events in March. This will probably extend through April, and I will keep you posted.
Two major events that have been rescheduled are Treasures from the Closet, which is moved to October 16-17; and the Roaring 2020’s Casino Night, to benefit The Inner Truth Project, which will be Saturday, November 14.
Other regular events such as the Literary Group meeting and 5 O’Clock Somewhere are also canceled for March.
Wishing you well,
President, GFWC Woman's Club of Stuart
